Barnevelder Movement/Arts Complex is a 7200 sq. ft. downtown Houston facility housing 3 fully equipped dance studios and a 120 seat theatrical performance venue. It is managed and operated by Suchu, Inc., the 501(c)(3) nonprofit parent organization of Suchu Dance, Houston’s award winning contemporary dance theatre company. In addition to offering contemporary dance/movement classes to the public, the Barnevelder facility is available to be rented by outside groups.
Barnevelder’s mission is to foster the proliferation of quality, contemporary performing art and new creative work in Houston by offering arts groups use of an affordable centrally located facility for their classes, rehearsals, performances and special events.
