The food continues to be the highlight of the experience, but the customer service (at the cash register) is the worst of any restaurant in Houston. The order was taken wrong,and when I informed the cashier, he indicated that it was not his fault - even though we order the same dish with every visit. When we asked for the name of the owner to complain, we were told “Good luck tracking down the owner,” even after they refused to provide the contact information. With all the places to eat in Hoston, I’ll always remember the great food, but react to the repulsive service first. (2006-05-21 11:56:44) |

Empire Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. I have to say to Justin Lane though - I hope you aren’t one of the people that will take up a whole table with your laptop and books during the busy dinner and lunch hours. (2005-12-11 15:48:20) |
