Houston Center for Contemporary Craft is a nonprofit organization founded to advance education about the process, product and history of craft. The Center’s major emphasis is on objects of art made primarily of fiber, metal, glass, clay and wood.
The Center provides a much-needed venue for exhibition, retail and studio spaces to support the work of local and national artists and to serve as a resource for artists, educators and the community at large.

The annual Empty Bowl event, the proceeds from which go to help feed the homeless, is fantastic. The bowls are wonderful, the soup is pretty darned good and the fellowship is delightful. (2007-03-31 13:48:44) |

They have some really cool artists working in their own studios, creating some really great stuff = glass bead people, woodturning, copper. They also have an awesome exhibition space. (2005-05-05 17:04:02) |
