ROCO personalizes the orchestral experience by inviting the audience into the musician’s world through interactive concerts with nationally and internationally recognized artists, exciting music old and new, and fun-to-read magazine-style programs promoting Family Literacy in the Arts.

ROCO is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

ROCO personalizes the orchestral experience with 40 national and international musicians and guest conductors. ROCO raffles off spots for 4 audience members to sit inside the orchestra, provides a pronunciation guide to composer’s names and meets and greets you, the audience, at Take 5 (a non-intermission). There is a music education/childcare program at the same time as the 5pm concert for kids 10 and under with extended care afterward until 9pm allowing the parents to go out. ROCO also has launched ROCO to go: a salon concert series in people’s homes, bringing the music back to where it originated. Performances are on selected Saturdays at 5pm at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church Sanctuary and other locations throughout Houston. (2006-07-05 19:26:56)
