Stopped by there while visiting Houston on some business. Never knew what an icehouse was before going there. Not only do I know what one is now, I also know now what a real one is like. I’m all about “old school” and this place is awesome! The “icehouse” is a true Texas tradition. Its an open air beer bar. People come to relax and have a cold beer to beat the Texas heat. The West Alabama Ice House has been around forever and is a Houston landmark. Many generations have been to this locale to kick back and have a cold one.
