Don’t judge it by the sketchy surroundings. The live jazz was great but not so distracting that our group couldn’t talk. We drank a couple of glasses of wine while talking on one of the couches (very eclectic trendy layout and design). Very intimate feel with the low lighting. Not very crowded the night we went -still undiscovered by most locals it seems (2008-02-13 14:22:49) |

I just hosted over 200 folks at the Boom Boom for my husband’s 70th BD. Owner, Jackie Harris, and experienced Manager, Kat Mims, can make everything work! Not a complaint one and it rained that night. The atmosphere lends itself to lively conversation and relaxation! Whether you come for their fabulous tea/coffees, panini sandwiches, extensive wine/beer list, you will enjoy. Great place for ladies to meet who don’t want to be “bothered”. Cool jazz. Well…A TOTALLY COOL PLACE!!!! (2006-10-28 14:40:33) |

Love this joint. It has a great atmosphere and lots of good food and It smells really clean and good there. I especially like the pretty flowers they put on each table. Jackie Harris’s hair is one of my favorite things to look at. (2006-09-26 16:20:06) |

Whoops! My mistake! All the fabulous breakfast pastries are provided by Boom Boom Room Chef Kat Mims. Sorry Kat & Monica. My mistake! (2006-09-06 00:55:59) |

This is my favorite new breakfast spot! It’s open at 7. The coffee is delicious and they have a selection of breakfast pastries compliment of chef Monica Pope! There are also delicious breakfast paninis from chef Kat Mims. It’s not crowded in the mornings and I can use the Wi-fi to check my emails and browse the web for the morning news while I relax and miss rush hour traffic. Finally there is someplace close to home in the Oak Forest & Garden Oaks area! The decor is cozy and hip. (2006-08-21 14:18:51) |

My husband and I went on friday night for the first time. It was a nice astmosphere but it was not a blended crowd. I truly enjoyed myself, the panini sandwich was out of this world. We plan to add this to our list of favorite spots. (2006-08-14 13:38:21) |

What a great meeting place for friends to catch up and have a nice cup of coffee or a refreshing glass of vino. Jackie has quite a selection of wine and she too will lend an ear or comment about the lastest news in the Heights. (2006-07-30 20:09:59) |
