A Houston secret indeed, the Greenway Theatre is located underground (who needs that pesky sunlight…) on the corner of Buffalo Speedway and 59. This unique theatre showcases the best in independent and foreign films. What separates the Greenway from other theaters? They understand the value of a customer, so they strive to make their service distinct and enjoyable.

I am in mourning since the closing of the Greenway 3 Theatres on Dec. 31, 2007. It was my cinema home away from home for 31 years. Please update your notice to indicate the closing, and the threat to the Landmark River Oaks theaters, too. (2008-01-15 11:52:52) |

The parking is a little intimidating. But once you know how to get there, the greenway is the best place to actually get away from not only the hectic world around us, but from the hollywood machine and just enjoy a good film. The bagel dogs don’t hurt. (2007-04-03 17:52:51) |
