My Dad managed Dean’s Credit Clothing Store in Jackson, MS. from the early fifties until 1982. Dean’s was a storebrand of “Sumner Stores Inc” out of New York, NY. My dad, “Tony” Battaglia was originally from Corpus Christi, Tx. There is a music history behind his “Dean’s” store also. More to come! How Cool! Jazisax2@aol.com (2007-07-04 00:28:29) |

Wednesday’s are cool as hell if you like good music, “good” being something other than the standard fare that you hear on the radio. The djs spin house, acid-jazz, soul, funk, roots-reggae, dance-hall, hip-hop, and whatever else comes to mind. The mixes are smooth, though. The frozen cosmo is delicious, and the atmosphere is laid back - no velvet rope bs. If you can’t stay home wednesday night, go. (2005-06-28 13:51:14) |
